Scope and Contents
- David Chapman (b. 1942) was born in the small town of Comox on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He has studied and taught at the University of Zambia, the University of Michigan, and the University of Utah, among others. Chapman is Distinguished Professor of Geophysics and Dean Emeritus of The Graduate School, Department of Geology and Geophysics, at the University of Utah. In 2009, he was awarded the Utah Governor's Medal for Science and Technology. Chapman has been instrumental in furthering studies regarding global warming and climate change. He and his wife live in Salt Lake City where they are avid cyclists and long-distance walkers.
