Scope and Contents
- Coleman (b. 1944) recalls his childhood in a racially diverse neighborhood in San Francisco. He describes his education in the California public school system, being offered an athletic scholarship to the University of Utah, and his experiences as a black person in Utah. Other topics covered include the Utah coaching staff, Ray Canning, working for General Mills, his return to the University of Utah as a member of the history faculty, the ethnic studies program, and role models in the community.
