  1. Lurt Knee (b. 1910) talks about his childhood in Durango, Colorado, and moving to California after his father was killed in a railroad accident. He recalls moving back to Monument Valley and building Sleeping Rainbow Ranch. Other topics include Clyde King, Mit Chidester, developing tours and horseback trips, the Burr trail, Doc Angelsby, Charles Kelly, Chuck Lundy, the clannishness of Fruita residents, the uranium boom of the 1950s, prospecting, and deeding his property to the Seventh-Day Adventists.
