Gordon talks about his forty-year career at the University in three interviews. As he looks back on his childhood in a small town in Indiana, his undergraduate days at Purdue University, his struggle with tuberculosis, his marriage to Charlotte Sanders, and events which led to his teaching and administrative positions in General Education, Psychology, and the Dean of the Division of Continuing Education (DCE), 1973-1991, Gordon also explores his own abilities in leadership which qualified him for the various aspects of his life at the University. In addition to experiences in student-faculty conflicts during the 1960s, Director of the Peace Corps Training Program, and particularly when he was administering DCE, Gordon offers insights into the administrations of University Presidents David Gardner, James Fletcher, and Chase Peterson. His comments on the financial arrangements of DCE and the University are of interest.
