Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Sydney W. and Mildred B. Angleman photograph collection consists of 9 boxes containing black-and-white photographs, color photographs, and negatives. Box 1-2 contains photographs of Sydney and Mildred Bradford Angleman, particularly their marriage and family, with many photos of the infancy and childhood of their son, Winfield, from 1927 to the 1940s. Box 3 contains photographs of family, friends, and associates of the Anglemans. Boxes 4-6 contain photographs largely taken by Mildred Bradford Angleman in her childhood and youth, depicting outdoor activities and tourism in California in the 1910s and 1920s and Mildred's education at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School and time spent living in borading houses in Berkeley, California in the 1920s while she attended university. Box 7 contains photographs depicting the Anglemans' lives in Salt Lake City from 1920 through the 1960s, with images of Sydney Angleman's involvement in writing communities and professional conferences. Boxes 8-9 are oversized and contain portraits and large group photographs from Sydney and Mildred Anglemans' lives. The collection spans 1900 through approximately 1999.
