Scope and Contents
River rafters leave home and family in Denver in early June 1955 and drive across the Rocky Mountains (Berthoud Pass) to launch (1 pontoon, 1 ten man raft) into the Green River near Craig or Sunbeam, Colorado. Water is quite high for the duration of the trip. Lots of shots of scenery, rapids and camp activity. This film features the following scenes along the Green River:
- Gates of Lodore
- Winnie's rapid
- Abandoned boat "Illinois Girl" on shore
- Triplet Falls
- Hell's Half Mile (in slow motion)
- Echo Park: Whispering Cave, view from the top of Harper's Corner
- Whirlpool Canyon: Jones Hole, Greasy Pliers rapid
- Island Park
