Scope and Contents

Film includes footage of scenes along the Colorado River during various river trips. Includes views of Escalante statue, groups of young passengers in a mud bath; Indian ruins in Lake Canyon; hike up Hole-in-the-Rock, petroglyphs, Bert Loper's cabin, swimming in the river, campsite scenes, running rapids. In middle there is a sequence of a group sitting outside an LDS ward house prior to loading bus to go on a river trip. The trips were probably all connected with the SOCOTWA program, an outdoor program for LDS youth based in South Cottonwood Ward, Salt Lake County.
