Scope and Contents
A Vietnam War veteran, John Hinton, tells the story of how he and a fellow pilot made a pact to grow mustaches to help identify them if they were captured or killed in the line of duty and that they would shave off the mustaches when they returned home. Hinton explains that he has never shaved his mustache because his friend was killed in Vietnam and as a memorial to his fellow pilot, he has kept the mustache.
