"The Other Side of the Tracks" - documentary, 2003

 Item — video: 3

Scope and Contents

Residents of both the east and west sides of Salt Lake give their opinions about where the division of east and west is located, as well as myths and beliefs about property value, violence, crime, and diversity of the two sides. Residents of the west side give their opinions about the bias of the media's attention to negative incidents in their side of town when crime, in their opinions, is equal on both sides of town. Young adults from both sides of town come together to confront one another's myths about their side of town.
