Scope and Contents
A West Salt Lake City Perspective - Minorities from the west side of Salt Lake City discuss how the unique blend of cultures in the area proves to be "rich soil" for rap artists. Members of Sicc Lake Productions, discuss how living and working in the Salt Lake Valley as rap artists affects them and their music as they discuss issues such as racism, isolation, stereotyping, and censorship in a predominantly Caucasian and religious state but even how minorities who are not black have difficulty making it in the rap side of the music industry.
