Louise Degn's note: For many years KSL had broadcast the Days of 47 Parade. In 1990, I was producing a noontime program, "Midday." The anchor, Bruce Lindsay, suggested we stay on the air through our program and broadcast other holiday events. Live broadcasting was still rather chancy in 1990, but we took up the challenge. We were on the air five hours, in many locations around the state. The next year, 1991, I returned to produce this event again.
