"The Animal's Court", 1990s
Item — cassette: 1
Scope and Contents
The film begins with the title "The Animal's Court." Images of construction vehicles tearing up a park are shown. Intercut with the images of construction vehicles are close-ups of a hamster or squirrel running from the destruction of the park (its home). A young African American boy chases the rodent into a secluded area only to discover a small legal court comprised of endangered animals. Each animal tells the story of its endangerment by the world of humans. This piece is ultimately a cautionary tale explaining to humans the adverse effects of their actions on the animal world. Probably dubbed from 16mm film.
