1964 elections: presidential primary elections, undated

 Item — Reel: 19

Scope and Contents

Allan Moll, Samuel Lubell, and George Brown discuss the difference between expressing an opinion of the outcome of a race and projecting the outcome of a race. They then go on to discuss the late associated press returns including Presidential and Senatorial results, and the voters' views of the candidates. In an interview with Senator Javits they compare the republican platform for 1960 and 1964 and discuss party unity. Cliff Engle reports on the Bay Area snap tallies from City Hall in San Francisco then the coverage is brought to a close with a statement from Rockefeller followed by questions from the press.
