This narrated film is about a computer simulation of a sonar projector transducer. The film presents a sequence of computer-generated images that describe a mathematical model used to predict the normal modes of vibration. Credits: Produced by Computer Science Division, University of Utah and Naval Ships System Command. Finite element analysis by Larry Gwin of Standford University. Computer animation by Hank Chistiansen, Professor of civil engineering at BYU and research associate at University of Utah. Technical Assistance Bruce Brown.
