 Item — disc: 2

Scope and Contents

Leigh (1929-1991) was a historian, researcher, guidebook author, and talented photographer. He was an accomplished mountaineer and climber, spending a tremendous amount of time in the Tetons and the Andes. They discuss climbing ethics of old and how they have changed with the development of the sport.

Leigh discusses his publications regarding the history of the Teton mountain range, particularly his book A Climbers Guide To The Teton Range coauthored by Reynold G. Jackson. He talks about the types and levels of climbing the range offers, as well as his personal experiences climbing in this area.
