  12. 20: Indian dwelling located in Hovenweep National Monument.
  13. 21: John Kitchen Ranch on the upper Paria River. He was killed by horse thieves.
  14. 22: One of the first homes in the valley, built in the old fort by the Deuel brothers. Constructed of native logs from the canyon s with a stone and adobe fireplace and earthen floor. The home measures scarcely 16x20 feet. It was first occupied by the Deuel brothers and later by Apostle Albert C. Carrington. It is now preserved inside Temple Square and is symbolic of the primitive shelters built by the early pioneers.

  16. 24: This home was built by William and Maria Young Doughall on the lot given to Maria by her father, Brigham Young. In 1886 they added to the home, and in 1906 it was sold to John R. Winder, who lived in it for about six years.
