Photograph number 14: Field Day Outing: Another outing that has become an annual gathering of Latter-Day Saints in MIA Field Day in beautiful Golden Gate Park in Sant Francisco, on May 30 B Memorial Day. Athletic and recreational events fold dances, song and pageantry, under the direction of MIA leaders, make it a day of fellowship and festive cheer. Here's a group of several hundred Saints gathered in "Mormon Vale" so named by park officials because of this traditional gathering in this delightful spot each year. A few years ago, on Arbor Day exercises, Latter-Day Saints were invited, and planted, a number of trees in the grassy vale in San Francisco's famous park.
