  • 7 : " Uintah School, Whiterocks, Utah. April 1947. During the 1946-1947 school year, as part of the state's centennial observance of the arrival of the Mormons, Utah elementary school children. Many of them descendants of the early pioneers, presented a series of historical broadcasts, Sponsored by the State Department of Education and the Junior Red Cross, thirty weekly broadcasts of the "Know Your Utah" series were prepared and presented by the schools. Landry, motor corps captain of Beaumont, Texas shows Frank Johnson, Galveston, Texas Red Cross chapter chairman the damage done to the Beaumont station wagon when the S.S. high Flyer blew up at the Texas City docks.
