Scope and Contents
From the Series:
Thomas C. Adams was a member of the faculty of the University from August 1927 until July 1, 1941, when his forced resignation became effective. Material in this portion of the collection deals with the personal and professional conflicts which led to his dismissal, in addition to the notes, course outline, papers, and other data relating to the teaching of his classes over a twelve year period. The majority of the correspondence included in this portion of the collection concerns the controversy that Adams became involved in which ended in his dismissal. Much of the correspondence is very revealing of Adam's personality.
