Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Larry Gerlach papers (1951-2013) contain the professional papers of this University of Utah History professor. Included are teaching files on sports history, files from Dr. Gerlach’s time as the faculty athletics representative, materials relating to the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR), extensive research on the history of umpiring and Utah sports. Dr. Gerlach came to the University of Utah as an instructor in 1968 and retired from teaching in 2013.
