Eileen Bernal correspondence and documents
Series
Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Katharine Hogle Cole papers (1938-1999) document a life dedicated to politics. Included in the collection is her extensive correspondence with Eileen Bernal, a founder of the Peace Councils Movement in England, and wife of Marxist activist, John Bernal. More personal than political, the correspondence documents a friendship of 30 years, until Eileen Bernal's death in 1990.
