This volume describes Wilford and Rosezella's daily activities in Salt Lake City. Personal health concerns and the health of friends and family members dominate the pages of this diary. Also detailed are social activities, Relief Society and Priesthood work, the affairs of children and grandchildren, books read and movies watched, and taking care of their home. Rosezella also talks about a trip to the South Pacific with the "Paradise Adventure Saints" group. Many of the entries describe issues and events related to the LDS Church, such as the death of David O. McKay, the subsequent changes in church organization, and the Presidency and death of Harold B. Lee.
