Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Salt Lake Buddhist Church dedication program (1962) is titled, "Dedication Ceremony of the Golden Anniversary Memorial Service" (March 17, 18, and 24, 1962) of the new church building of the Salt Lake Buddhist congregation. The program is 16 pages in length and is written in English and Japanese. It contains several greetings from officials of the church, schedules for the three-day celebration, the names of the building committee, a sketch of the new structure, the "Banquet Program" and a brief history of the organization. The various programs took place in the congregation's new church located at 211 West First South Street, Salt Lake City. The scrapbook (1962-1963) is titled, "Special Articles for New Buddhist Temple Building" and consists of various newspapers and a drawing.
