 File — Oversize Box: 3

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Henry Dinwoodey family papers (1882-1985) contain documents relating to the Henry Dinwoodey family and the family's Salt Lake City business, the Dinwoodey Furniture Company. Henry Dinwoodey's diary (1882-1903) includes a brief daily description of time Dinwoodey spent in the Utah State Penitentiary (March-July 1886) for practicing plural marriage. A family record book contains genealogical information on family members, such as birth dates, baptisms, and marriages. Also included is a property deed that transfers a plot of Salt Lake City property from the estate of Brigham Young to Henry Dinwoodey. The history of the Dinwoodey Furniture Company is seen in two furniture catalogues, news clippings, and other items.
