From the Collection: The Ezra Clark Knowlton papers (1919-1979) consist of materials surrounding Knowlton's involvement with various Utah public service organizations. Knowlton (b. 1891) grew up in Farmington, Utah, and received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1915 from the University of Utah. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1916 to 1919 and became well-known for his expertise in cement work and road building materials latter in life. The collection not only contains papers related to the organizations Knowlton was affiliated with, but also contains materials concerning his run for the state senate, his autobiography, and his interest in the history of the United States, among other things.
