Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Seville Flower papers (1931-1989) contains materials highlighting Flowers career. It includes resume information, a short paper of personal life reminisces, tributes written at the time of his death, a bibliography of published works, a paper entitled "Fossil Plants," and a reprint from Salinity and Aridity: New Approaches to Old Problems titled "The Flora and Fauna of the Great Salt Lake Region, Utah." There are also field notes of Bruce N. Smith from the University of Utah Ecological Survey Expedition to Glen Canyon Reservoir Area; Flowers led this expedition in 1958. There is also a University Pen article, titled "The Yellow Flower," newspaper clippings, and materials relating to Navajo Indian legends and myths. Also included in the collection are various plates of moss and fern sketches. Original ink and watercolor sketches regarding Flower's work are also present.
