Payroll ledger (part C), 1930 May-1947 April

 File — Box: 7

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Royal Coal Company payroll ledgers consist of three payroll ledgers for the Royal Coal Company that date from 1930 through 1954, and one payroll ledger for the Standard Coal Company for 1916 through 1919. The Royal Coal Company ledgers, which were compiled in an inverted chronological order, have been dismantled and stored in their original order. The Royal Coal Company operated a mine south of Castle Gate, Carbon County, Utah, beginning in the 1920s. However, it is not clear if these ledgers relate to that mine. The Standard Coal Company operated a mine in Standardville, Carbon County, Utah, northwest of Helper from circa 1911 through 1950.
