  2. Friendly letter enclosed in his wife's letter to Mrs. Amelia Young. Reminiscences about good friends they have left in Salt Lake. Sees important people are visiting Salt Lake from the East. Receives the and is able to keep up with news and happenings. They like the country in Belgium, but often yearn for the Salt Lake Valley and the people who treated them with so much consideration. Feels General Grant has made a mistake by replacing government officials in Utah with those not friendly to the Mormons. Sometimes wishes he had stayed in Salt Lake and continued in office. Sends best wishes to members of the Young family and to his friends in Salt Lake.
