Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Bingham Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company Records (1870-1974) is divided into two groups. The first group of documents, boxes 1-21, contain a variety of loose or bound papers. These include ore assay and settlement records, shift reports, personnel documents, supplies information, invoices, and miscellaneous mining data. The second group of documents, boxes 22-59, contains large-format, bound items. These include ledgers, daybooks, assays, supply accounts and orders, ore reports, copying books, and other mining company records. Boxes 22-26 contain record books of the Bingham Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company. Boxes 27-34 contain books of the Dalton and Lark mining interest. Boxes 35-37 contain record books regarding the Tintic, Brooklyn, Eagle and Blue Bell, Tesora, and Sampson mining concerns. The books in boxes 38-48 may be those of the Bingham Consolidated, while the remaining books, those in boxes 49-59, are from unidentified mines.
