Correspondence, 1970-1973

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Woody Anderson papers (1956-1991) contain news clippings, brochures, travel guides, correspondence, resumes, and a typescript of a two-part interview with Anderson, conducted in 1990 by Joe Arave. The news clippings vary in subject from Anderson's earliest employment in Park City, Utah, in the mid 1950s, to his move to Pomerelle Ski Area in Idaho during the fall of 1974. The brochures and travel guides discuss condominiums and vacation ideas in Park City and Sun Valley Ski Area, Idaho. Most of the correspondence to Anderson and his wife, Sondra J. (Sandy) Anderson, is from their friends and concerns the purchase of Pomerelle Ski Area, although there is one letter that notifies Anderson he has been chosen to submit his vote for the "Resort Man of the Year Award." The interview with Anderson covers his ski industry career up to the mid-1980s and his military experiences from 1950 to 1953. At the end of the interview are resumes for both Anderson and his wife.
