From the Series: In 1935 Dean Brimhall accepted a position with the Works Progress Administration as an advisor for labor relations. He served until 1939 under WPA administrator Harry L. Hopkins. During this time Brimhall was an outspoken defender of the Roosevelt administration and of the Works Progress Administration. He gave many speeches and always fought for the workers' rights.
