Nelson (b. 1899) was born in Brigham City, Utah, but lived and worked in the Promontory area for much of his life. He was a section foreman. He talks about the Houghtons store, railroad siding at Cosmo, freighting, the government nitrogen plant, riding the train, Locomotive Springs, and buildings at Promontory.
