The collection consists of an unpublished manuscript written by Elizabeth Mehaffy Howe (b. 1860), author of Frontiersmen, published in 1931. The manuscript concerns the nineteenth-century American Indian Wars. Of particular interest are chapters on Latter-day Saints and Women in the West.
