Abstract The James A. and Mary Jane Lyttle Little autobiographical sketches (1808-1892) are fairly short accounts of events and memories of their lives. The sketch of James Little indicates his role in recording Utah's history: he was editor of the Millennial Star. Abstract The Alfred Douglas Young autobiography (1808-1843), while mainly an account of the visions of Alfred Young, it also records the missionary activities of Alfred and his brother William in Tennessee, the brothers subsequent disfellowship from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in 1842 at Nauvoo, and their reinstatement to the church.
