A tentative study of the Council of Fifty, a precursor to Hansen's "Quest for Empire: The Council of Fifty in Mormon Theology."

Abstract The Klaus J. Hansen papers (1952-2011) includes articles, book manuscripts, a doctoral dissertation, and reviews written by Hansen mostly pertaining to the history of the LDS Church and the political ramifications of the Council of Fifty in LDS history.
