The "Custer's Last Fight, The Battle of No Survivors" film poster (1926) was produced by Thomas H. Ince Productions. The movie poster was created for the 1926 release of this 30-minute silent film that was directed by Francis Ford (John Ford's older brother) who starred as Custer. This was the first film on the Battle of Little Big Horn.

The William L. English diary (1876) records the trip from Fort Shaw, Montana, in an attempt to centralize the Indian population of the Montana Territory with the mission culminating in Custer's battle with the Sioux. William L. English served as First Lieutenant in Company I of the Seventh Infantry.
