Abstract The history of Nelson Wheeler Whipple and his family consist of a typescript bound volume. Whipple converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1844 and moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. After fleeing Nauvoo in 1846, Whipple lived in Garden Grove, Iowa until 1850, when he and his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.
