Abstract The Wallace S. Brooke papers (1943-1990) contain correspondence, a history, and an article regarding the Salt Lake Surgical Society in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brooke earned a Ph.D. from Oxford University in 1940 and attended Johns Hopkins University. He became the first chief resident of surgery for Price, Utah. He served as the president of the Salt Lake Surgical Society.
