Biographical / Historical

The Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement Association (YLMIA) was a youth organization for young women associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Previously known as the Young Ladies' National Mutual Improvement Association, it took the YLMIA name in 1904. In 1934 the organization was renamed the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association.
