Abstract The Nelson Higgins papers (1836-2013) consist of personal, professional and family materials. The majority of the documents pertain to his military appointments and service. Nelson Higgins (1806-1890) was a church leader and Utah settler in the early LDS Church. He served as captain, major and colonel in the Nauvoo Legion.
